After a drive along typically narrow Lake District roads we arrived at the Cathedral Cave, one of the more famous district locations. I had a good idea for what I wanted to come away with, working around tourists, other photographers and challenging muddy terrain under foot I captured my vision. By adding Megan to the image helps to add a sense of scale, something I feel other Cave photos lack. The cave has incredible scale and sense of confinement, adding a human element helps to portray the harshness and the unyielding placement of the rock. In post, I removed a rope which sectioned off the fallen debris to the left of the image which extended around the main shaft of rock.
