Third time lucky, my first two attempts to create this image failed due to weather conditions. This evening was the perfect storm to create this sunset to starscape. The final image is made up of 4 photos taken across the evening, the first was taken during daylight hours and the focus of which is to capture noise free detail in the foreground and mid ground. Next I captured the sunset, similar intention to gain maximum detail in the sky and freeze the cloud motion. Once dark I captured the long exposure of the car making it's way over the moor road, this was a complete guess to exposure as to how long it would take the car to drive the section of road in shot. Finally the star shot, and once I had all of the images I retouched them to exposure match in Lightroom before compiling them manually in Photoshop.
